At least 27 killed in Mali hostage drama

At least 27 people have been killed by Islamic extremists at a luxury hotel in Mali's capital, Bamako.

Gunmen took more than 130 people hostage in a siege lasting several hours before international special forces moved in.
It is believed the militants are local insurgents who have links to al-Qaida. Wolfgang Neumann who the boss of the company which owns the hotel spoke to Sky News after the ordeal.
"I want to express my deepest condolences to all of the family and friends of those who lost their lives and as well of those who were injured or affected by the terrible events at the Radisson Blu hotel, Bamako", he said.
