Two children have drowned in KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend.

On Saturday, a nine-year-old boy got into difficulty and disappeared under the water while swimming with his friends in the Umvoti River near Groutville.
Emergency personnel have been searching for him since.
In another incident in Richards Bay, a six-year-old girl was found unresponsive in the water by a surfer on Saturday.
The National Sea Rescue Institute spokesperson, Craig Labinon says CPR was immediately performed on the child.
"Despite the extensive CPR effects, the child was declared deceased. The child's body was taken into the care of forensic pathology services."
Labinon says police have opened an inquest docket.
