Leaked exams: Edu expert believes affected papers should be re-written
Updated | By Andrew Robertson
An education professor says the leaking of the Maths and Physics papers has affected the integrity of this year's matric exams and believes the affected papers should be re-written.
The Basic Education Department yesterday confirmed it was now also investigating the leaking of Physical Science Paper 2.
It was written yesterday morning.
It comes as the Hawks are helping education authorities to find the source of last week's leak of Maths Paper 2 in at least eight provinces, including KZN.

UKZN School of Education's Professor Vimolan Mudaly says because the papers were seemingly widely circulated - new ones should be prepared.
He says re-write dates should be announced as soon as possible. "Students have already studied now and the material is still fresh in their heads. They need to get into the mode writing as quickly as possible, rather than waiting for a period of time."
"We know the department has supplementary papers that are always set, meanwhile they are already available and can easily be written at short notice. I'm not sure when this will be done but certainly, I think as quickly as possible," he says.
