KZN's number of active coronavirus cases drops

Eighty-seven more people have died from COVID-19 related complications in South Africa - bringing our national death toll to 17 103.

The Health Ministry says, in the last 24 hours, 35 more people from KwaZulu-Natal succumbed to coronavirus.
Just over a thousand new infections have been recorded, with the number of active cases in KZN decreasing to just over 5 700.
It had moved up to more than 6 000 the day before.
Countrywide, over 616 000 people have recovered from the virus.
