KZN wraps up land hearings
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Public hearings into the expropriation of land without compensation have wrapped up in KZN.

Many people came forward to share their thoughts before the Joint Constitutional Review Committee. Meetings were held in Vryheid, Jozini, Pietermaritzburg and Kokstad to discuss a possible review of section 25 of the Constitution. Members of the public expressed their support and disagreement with the land programme.
Committee chairperson, Lewis Nzimande, says they will review the feedback before presenting it to parliament.
"The feedback received here will be correlated with the regional submissions in the second week of August into a document that we will through", he said.
"We will do this in hopes of arriving at a determination of desirability of amending the constitution and report to Parliament on the 28th of September", Nzimande said.
