KZN train crash: Transnet provides support to victims' families

Transnet is assisting the families of the two people killed in a train crash near Hillcrest at the weekend.
The parastatal says it will support the family and help with burial arrangements.
A driver and an assistant were killed when the multi-goods train they were travelling in derailed and slammed into a platform at the Delville Wood Railway Station on Sunday.
The Department of Transport's Ishmael Mnisi says a task team has been established to probe the crash.

"They were Transnet employees, so there are benefits that go with such an accident. Due to Transnet being an entity of the Department of Public Enterprises - they will be able to expatiate in terms of the direct assistance that will be coming from Transnet," he said.
