Tourism KZN says indications
are that bookings are on the up at accommodation establishments across the
province since the move to Level 2 lockdown.
Inter-provincial travel is now allowed under Level 2 regulations - with hotels and other establishments open for leisure travel.
“All of those indications are telling us that people want to travel. We are very positive in KZN that we are going to see an increase in numbers,” General manager for Marketing at Tourism KZN Galelelekile said.
She says their trade partners have implemented strict protocols to keep patrons safe.
“I must say that our trade partners have really been good in making sure that they are ready,” Galelelekile said.
“Even before the lifting of restrictions we saw they already started putting systems in place to ensure when local travel is allowed they will be ready to receive visitors. Protocols have been put in place and they are ready,” Galelelekile added.
