KZN teens stranded in CT after soccer academy scam
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The Department of Social Development in the Western Cape has launched an investigation into a bogus soccer academy scam in Cape Town.

This as five KwaZulu-Natal teenage boys have been stranded in the mother city after they were lured to the province under the false pretence that they would be enrolling in the academy.
The KZN Department of Social Development is working closely with their Western Cape counterparts to get the boys back safely.
Spokesperson Ncumisa Fandesi says although the boys - four under 18 and the other 19 - had consent from their parents to join the said academy, it's not clear what exactly happened.
She says they were contacted by Western Cape police yesterday.
"By this stage, we can't really say we know what happened. We will wait for the outcome of that investigation and we will also be talking to the boys upon their return," she said.
