KZN teacher shot dead on school premises
KZN police are investigating a charge of murder after a shooting in Impendle in the KZN Midlands claimed the life of a local school teacher this week.
Lugaju High School's Terrance Nxumalo was shot dead on the school premises on Thursday night. Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the incident took place late night.
"The incident was reported at 23:30 that night. The teacher had been at his cottage before being attacked by an unknown suspect. He was shot and killed instantly and police were called in to attend", he said.
Zwane says the motive is not clear at this stage.
"The matter is still under investigation. We are also appealing to anyone who might relevant information to come forward and assist police", Zwane said.
