The Grade 8 pupil at the George Campbell School of Technology in the CBD, is understood to have been in class when the incident happened.

"We have received a letter detailing the allegations. We are very, very disappointed at the manner in which this incident is said to have happened, so we will make sure that this is investigated so that we know exactly what transpired on the day," he said.
The police's Thulani Zwane says a case of common assault is being investigated, and no arrests have been made.
