KZN storm damage estimated at R480m, says eThekwini

eThekwini Municipality says the preliminary estimated cost for the repair of infrastructure damaged during last week’s severe storm stands at R480 million.

This was revealed in a report outlining the impact of the heavy rains, strong winds and a tornado in the city.
The report was presented during an Executive Committee meeting on Monday.
The city says the most impacted areas were uThongathi, IIlovo, Umgababa, and Kingsburgh.
