KZN still topping new Covid-19 infections

KwaZulu-Natal recorded the majority of new coronavirus infections in the reporting cycle to Saturday.
The coastal province reported 30% (2 525) of the 8 411 infections recorded to Saturday.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) says KwaZulu-Natal is followed by the Western Cape with 21% (1 726) then the Eastern Cape at 15% (1 302).
A further 182 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 83,343 to date.
There has been an increase of 255 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours. A total of 11 901 people have been admitted to private and public hospitals in the country. This while more than 13,43 million vaccine doses have been administered.#COVID19 UPDATE: A total of 54,273 tests were conducted in the last 24 hrs, with 8,411 new cases, which represents a 15.5% positivity rate.
