KZN Social Development MEC urges matrics to prepare for final exams
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
The Social Development MEC in KZN has urged matriculants to focus on their exams as they have less than 20 days before the actual examination begins.

MEC Weziwe Thusi had been speaking at the launch of Sibahle Siyazethemba campaign in Durban.
The campaign will see 24 000 pupils across 1 200 schools being handed school uniforms, comfort packs and food parcels this month.
It has been initiated to commemorate the social development month and will be ongoing across the province. Thusi says they will also be handing out sanitary towels to ensure that female learners do not miss school when they are on their periods.
"We continue talking to them about substance abuse. We are asking the parents and communities to work with us to make sure that there are no school children that go to the taverns [in the vicinity]. We must be informed of drug hot spots so that the police can go and arrest those people," she said.
Meanwhile, CEO of Quality assurer Umalusi, Dr Mafu Rakometsi addressed the media on its state of readiness in Johannesburg earlier today.
