KZN skies light up in hot air balloon contest

The skies were filled with colour as hot air balloons cruised across the landscapes of Newcastle. See the incredible photos here.
This is the 36th National Hot Air Balloon Championship currently underway the northern KZN town.
Flyers from South Africa and the continent have gathered to compete in the five-day tournament.
On day one, the balloons blew kilometres off target as a gust of wind made it difficult to propel.
Eleven balloons are being used in the contest. The competition runs until Saturday.
