KZN residents warned over high humidity levels as temperatures soar
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
There is concern over high humidity levels as temperatures skyrocket in parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

An advisory from the South African Weather Service has cautioned people, especially those in the eastern region, to avoid heat-related illnesses like dehydration and heat stroke.
Ulundi's already baking at 41 degrees Celsius, Richards Bay's at 38 degrees, and Pietermaritzburg and Ladysmith reached 37.
"We are expecting very hot conditions with high humidity that result in uncomfortable sensations,” says SA Weather Service forecaster Ayanda Ntsele.
“The dangers that are associated with that rangers from dehydrations, low energy levels as well as possible heat related illnesses, such as hypothermia or heat strokes so people are advised to limit physical activity.”
