KZN residents lament latest petrol price hike

May adjustments to petrol and diesel costs took effect at midnight.

Diesel has come down by between 30 and 46 cents a litre.
These Durban motorists though filled up with petrol, which increased by 37 cents a litre.

"It is us the poor that get affected because an increase to petrol had an increase on day-to-day necessities which is bread and unfortunately the employer don't want to increase salaries," said one man.
One woman told Newswatch that she is currently unable to make ends meet.
Illuminating paraffin went down by 25 cents.
