KZN reacts to 'Tremor'

KZN have taken to social media to describe an apparent earth tremor. It was felt around Durban, Amanzimtoti, Hibberdene, Pietermaritzburg and Port Shepstone on Thursday afternoon.

Twitter was ablaze on Thursday after residents took to the social media platform to report that they felt a tremor in and around KZN. 

The South African Weather Service has informed the public via Twitter that they should make contact with the Council for Geoscience to inform them about what was experienced.

LISTEN: Amanzimtoti resident, Tizina Panizollo says she was sitting on her sofa when she felt the earth shaking. 

Ballito resident Johnny Christodoulou sent us an email to tell us about the tremor he experienced.

"We felt the tremor in Ballito Dolphin Coast. I felt the couch moving and a waive [sic] of nausea. I thought I was dizzy, but then I noticed the orchids sway," he said.
