KZN pupils remembered after stabbing incident
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Family and friends of the two boys who died after a stabbing incident in Osizweni in northern KwaZulu-Natal last week are remembering their loved ones.
A memorial service is being held for the victims today.
The boys, both 16-years-old, died after a 12-year-old pupil allegedly stabbed them after an argument.
KZN Education MEC, Peggy Nkonyeni is expected to attend their funeral tomorrow.
The department's Muzi Mahlambi says officials are concerned over violence in schools.
"The MEC is concerned about the escalation of violence in our schools. So, we want to speed up the process of bringing together the stakeholders so that we can come with strategies as to how to mitigate this scourge," he said.
