A school principal has been suspended by the KZN Education Department after being found in possession of stolen goods in Boston, west of Pietermaritzburg.

The man allegedly stole items from the Mthintanyoni Primary School, not far from his own school.
Laptops and office equipment were among the items taken.

The department's Kwazi Mthethwa says they're supporting police with their investigations.
"We are aggrieved and shocked to hear that one of our principals broke into another school and stole office equipment. This is the worst case of unprofessionalism and criminality. We have allowed our sister department of police to handle it," he says.
