KZN Premier Willies Mchunu mourns loss of loved one
The Office of the Premier says newly-appointed KwaZulu-Natal Premier Willies Mchunu has lost his mother, just a month after the death of his wife.
Mchunu had been scheduled to attend public accounts committee hearings, but was now on his way home in Umtshezi, his spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya said.
“His father is also in ICU in hospital. We are requesting the people of KwaZulu-Natal to pray for the premier during this difficult period."

Mchunu’s wife, Dudu, died in April after a long illness.
