KZN premier urges practical ways to fight climate change

Less talk and more collaboration in fighting climate change.

That's what the KZN Premier has called for at COP 28 in Dubai.
"The climate is changing now, it’s not changing tomorrow, it’s not changing yesterday, and people are facing problems now. It calls for stronger leadership."

Nomusa Dube-Ncube has told the UN climate conference there needs to be proper funding for vulnerable communities.
She says there should also be talks tailored to the unique challenges faced by each community.
"We cannot talk about the PEPS agreement when people are hungry, when people are not having infrastructure such as energy, water. All of those things should be able to be meaningful to a person."
