Sisulu was speaking at the official launch of her presidential campaign - held at a hall in Johannesburg named after her struggle stalwart father.

She told supporters that corruption and racism are alien to the ANC and must be rooted out.

And as the ANC's presidential race hots up with her name now also in the hat, Sisulu says no one's vote should be for sale.

"We must further ensure that we cry out loud and say we must stop the killings in KwaZulu-Natal. It is not the culture of our movement. We must stop violence against women and children. We must stop corruption. It is harming us. We must unshackle ourselves from the stronghold of democratic processes," she says.
