KZN police urge beachgoers to exercise caution
Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
KwaZulu-Natal police are appealing to members of the public to exercise caution around water this festive season.

This in the wake of a series of drownings in the province, including two at Inanda Dam since Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says drownings are a major concern at this time of the year, as many people flock to the sea, local dams or swimming pools to make the most of the warm weather.
"Many school children have lost their lives, while swimming in rivers and dams during school holidays. Parents should ensure that their children don't go swimming without adult supervision," Gwala said.
