KZN police track down wanted murder suspects

Police
have taken two men into custody in connection with separate murder cases in
northern KwaZulu-Natal and on the south coast.

In Hibberdene, near Port Shepstone, a 37-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of his 39-year-old wife.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the woman was shot on Wednesday night.
“The suspect went to report to the police that they were allegedly attacked by two unknown men. Following intensive police investigations, officers managed to link the man to the killing,” said Mbele.
In northern KwaZulu-Natal, officers have nabbed a 29-year-old man believed to have sexually assaulted and murdered his 2-year-old step-daughter in Nongoma.
Mbhele says police had been searching for the man since the toddler died a few weeks ago.
