KZN police search for three escaped prisoners, facing murder charges

Police in Nkandla are searching for three murder suspects who escaped custody shortly after appearing in court last month.

Awaiting trail prisoners, twenty-nine-year-old Sipho Langa, 22-year-old Lindokuhle Manqele and 29 year-old Sthembiso Langa, escaped while on their way back to holding cells and have been on the run since.
The trio allegedly got into an argument with Lindithemba Ndlovu before they stabbed him to death in April of 2015.
The three accused were appearing for a murder case at Nkandla Regional Court on 22 February 2017. When the court adjourned, the three accused were escorted back to the court holding cells and in the process, they allegedly escaped.

On 26 April 2015 the victim, Lindithemba Mxolisi Ndlovu - aged 20 - was approached by the accused in the town's Esikhalenisebomvu area.
After an argument, the victim was allegedly stabbed to death by the accused. They fled the scene after the incident and a case of murder was opened at the Nkandla police station for further investigation.
The detectives worked around the clock in tracing the suspects and the following day, all three suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.
Bail was denied to all three suspects.
