KZN police continue monitoring Dalton, Georgetown protests
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The police are monitoring two protests today one in Dalton outside Tongaat and the other in Georgetown outside Pietermaritzburg and are urging motorists to be vigilant around those areas.

The police's Thulani Zwane says around 5am more than 500 people took to the streets on Dalton Road burning tyres and blocking roads.
They're reportedly complaining about service delivery in the area.

Zwane says the police are still on scene trying to calm the situation.
"There are no damages, and no arrests. About 200 people were protesting at Edendale closing two roads, burning tyres and [throwing] stones. The police are there as well to monitor the situation," he said.
