KZN police arrest suspects in 'body parts syndicate'

KZN police say they've cracked down on a syndicate targeting women in the province, whose members allegedly engage in cannibalism.
Spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says three men including a traditional healer were arrested on Friday night, after one of the suspects reported their crimes to officers at the Estcourt police station.

Mbhele says the man took police to his home where they were met with a foul stench of what was later discovered to be human flesh.
The suspects are facing charges of human trafficking, rape, murder and possession of body parts. They will make their first appearance in court tomorrow.
