The KZN Parents Association has welcomed government's decision to move the start of the final matric exams forward by a few days.
The KZN Parents Association has welcomed government's decision to move the start of the final matric exams forward by a few days.
"It is allowing people the opportunity to exercise their democratic right," says the association's Vee Gani.
Gani admits many students would have wanted the extra days to study.
The Council of Education Ministers decided to move the start of the finals forward from 1 November to 27 October, so that it doesn't clash with the local government polls.
"Those learners that set themselves out have a schedule and a timetable it would set them backwards a little bit. It's been a very challenging year for matriculants both last year and this year and it's a life-changing exam," says Gani.
