KZN Parents Association: Unfair to ask all matrics to rewrite math paper
Updated | By Andrew Robertson
The Basic Education Department is deciding whether all pupils should sit for the paper again.

Minister Angie Motshekga said yesterday that, depending on the outcome of its investigation, a national rewrite would be possible.
The Hawks have been roped in to assist.
The Department says it was made aware of the leak in the early hours of Monday morning and it's possible that learners had the question sheet with them from the night before.

It says pupils implicated in the widespread leak face a three-year ban from writing the NSC exam. KZN and seven other provinces have been affected.
The KZN Parents Association says it would be unfair to ask all matrics to rewrite Maths Paper 2 - the exam that was leaked in several provinces this week.
The parents association's Vee Gani says, "Those schools, those learners, those areas where there is a potential that the paper has been leaked and because of that certain children would have gained an unfair advantage.
"It's a bit of a difficult role and a bit of a difficult decision to make but I do feel sorry for those children who studied, who wrote the exam and had no involvement for them not subjected to them rewriting that paper," he adds.
