Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
KwaZulu-Natal MECs will on Thursday visit the home of a child rape survivor in Bergville.

The Department of Social Development says the girl's family was allegedly offered cattle as a gesture to pay for damages.
MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza says they were also told that the child was allegedly threatened with a knife in the KwaKhwela area in July.

A team of social workers has already been assigned to the family.
Khoza says another concern is that the alleged perpetrator has not yet been arrested.
