KZN MEC says wasteful municipal expenditure will be investigated
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
KZN Co-operative Governance MEC, Nomusa Dube-Ncube says municipal leaders shouldn't be rewarded for wrongdoing.

She says senior managers who perform poorly should not receive performance bonuses or be paid increases.
According to the latest financial audit, out of KZN's 53 municipalities only seven received clean audits.
"We are saying we want to see good governance. Irregular expenditure needs to be investigated - and needs to point out who is part of the wrongdoing and report any form of corruption to the police. We will have to institute a disciplinary," she says.
