A KwaZulu-Natal man is in custody after police found unlicensed firearms and a police uniform in his possession in Westville.
Mohammed Ismail briefly appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court last week.
His case was postponed to Friday for a formal bail application.
KZN Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says officers searched and seized his Westville home last week.
He says Ismail couldn't explain the confiscated weapons and police uniform.
"Police further seized a police uniform that was found in the house. Ismail failed to give a reasonable explanation about the seized firearms and police uniform.
