KZN Health HOD encourages kindness among staff
The Health Department HOD says they're trying to change the mindset of employees who mistreat young girls looking to have an abortion done.
Sifiso Mtshali was speaking at an anti-illegal abortion march held in Kwadukuza yesterday.
He says girls sometimes shy away from legal abortions because of the way some nurses speak to them.
"We know that some of our staff members might not have been kind to some people so we're trying to change the attitude of our staff members - to say whoever comes to your facility, try to be as kind as possible because you never know when you're unkind to them where you're pushing them to," he said.
