KZN Health campaign sees 1-million circumcisions
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
The KZN Health Department has reached a significant milestone in its campaign to eliminate HIV infection.

The department says it has now conducted 1-million circumcisions. MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo is urging more men to have the procedure.
"What we are excited about is that he is the millionth man to be circumcised under the campaign and you will realise there have been no deaths since we started", he said.
"Among other things we launched a campaign called Dual Protection. It is just really saying men should circumcise and also use a condom because this reduces the infection rate but it does not eliminate the infection", Dhlomo said.
"So to really fight infections we are saying people should make use of other preventative measures", he said.
