KZN govt probes abuse claims against KwaSizabantu Mission

A task team's compiling a report on the KwaSizabantu Mission that will be handed over to KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala.

He's asked government officials to look into the multiple claims of abuse that've been levelled against the northern KZN Christian mission.

Human Settlements MEC, Neliswa Nkonyeni says they went to the church near Kranskop on Thursday for a walkabout.
"We have seen a manufacturing plant for aQuellé water. We have seen the agricultural crops that are being produced here."
She says they'll continue with their investigation.
"We are never tolerant on issues with have to do with violation of human rights hence we decided to promptly active so that we may intervene as and when it becomes necessary for us to do that."
