KZN expands anti-rabies drive

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture will expand its anti-rabies campaign across the whole province.
This after another case was confirmed in the province's north.
The department's Khaye Nkwanyana says a Vryheid resident was bitten by a rabid dog.
The man is in a stable condition in hospital.
"In as much as the new spike was identified along the coast, we have decided to blanket the whole province in terms of a massive vaccination campaign. We have set up dates in different regions, districts and villages to make sure that we curb the outbreak," he said.
Nkwanyana's urging pet owners to have their animals vaccinated as soon as possible.
