Heavy rains battered the town in northern KZN over the weekend, damaging several houses and infrastructure.
Some residents were also forced to leave their homes.

The municipality's Deputy Mayor, Simamane Mbatha, says over 200 pupils have been affected.
"This is a rural area, and we are struggling. Local people and community members tried to put up structures so the kids could go back.
"Hence, I'm saying we are really urging the Department of Education to come closer and look at this matter."
