KZN Education pleased with COVID-19 compliance at schools
KwaZulu-Natal Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu says he's pleased at how the province's schools have responded to the coronavirus crisis.
Mshengu's added they're satisfied with the level of COVID-19 compliance in classrooms.
The MEC visited schools in Umlazi on Monday, after pupils in Grades R, 1, 6, 10, and 11 returned to their desks - after a month-long break.

The department's spokesperson Kwazi Mthethwa says all learners attended a COVID-19 orientation.
"These orientations that take place give kids sufficient time to familiarise themselves with the new normal.
"Some of these kids the last time they were at school was in March, so when they come back to school there's a new normal, they have to put on a mask, sanitize and social distance. Teachers as well, they need to come on board in terms of readiness."
