More than 160 000 registered candidates from KZN will sit for the final matric exams on Monday.

"The only test is how do we manage the magnitude. Otherwise, the systems have already been tested. We are combat ready as the province of KZN," he says.
Education's Muzi Mahlambi says the department believes it will achieve the pass rate it's aiming for - 76%.
"We should not have self-created problems for our learners. We are on the route of obtaining that minimum of 76% so that learners can join university and graduate," he says.
