KZN education dept. anticipates hassle-free start to academic year

The KZN Education Department says it's all systems go for the re-opening of schools in the province on Wednesday.
This follows the announcement by Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi that at least 45 000 are yet to be placed in schools in that province.

But the KZN Education Department has reiterated that there are no such problems within KZN.
Department spokesperson Kwazi Mthethwa says all KZN pupils will have a place at their respective schools.
"As the Department of Education in KZN we can confirm to you that all learners for the academic year 2017 have already been registered. As early as last October, we had already delivered stationery and learning materials to all schools in this province," he said.
Mthethwa said this highlighted the department's proactiveness.
"On the first they that we open at school, the first hour, first minute we will be learning," he said.
