KZN Economic Development committee to focus on job creation, investment
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The Economic Development portfolio committee says job creation and investor protection top its list of key priorities for KZN.

"Those who invest in KwaZulu-Natal must know that we have our people, and they must have a say in their economy," says ANC's Mafika Mndebele.
Political parties on Tuesday elected chairs for various portfolio committees during a KZN legislature sitting.

Mndebele has vowed to revive the textile industry in Newcastle and Ladysmith to boost the province's economy.
"My mother used to work as a textile worker in Newcastle. As the chairperson of economic development in KZN, we must target areas of intervention that need economic development, and it is something that we are going to do."
