KZN career expo to give graduates, job seekers a head start
Updated | By Portia Cele
High school pupils, graduates, and job seekers will get a glimpse of their future job space in Durban's first Youth Employability Indaba and Career Expo.
The event kicks off tomorrow and ends on Saturday, May the 25th at the Durban Exhibition Centre.
Durban ICC's business development officer, Asimbonge Mkhize says they are hoping to attract at least 15 000 young attendees in and around the city.
More than 100 exhibitors - including corporates and KZN's tertiary institutions - will offer career expertise; and information on professional skills.
"We came around the table with our partners to find solutions to the country's high unemployment rate and bridge the gap on how to disseminate that information - whether its learnerships or bursaries that are required. We want to try and find the link of saying - if I have this qualification, how can I be employed by one of the exhibitors," she said.

Mkhize further explains that the discussions held will be solutions-based.
