KZN cannibalism case: Estcourt community angered by murders

The Estcourt community will return to their local magistrate's court in their numbers next month - when five suspects arrested in the so-called cannibalism case line up in the dock again.

Scared and angry residents gathered outside the Estcourt Magistrate's Court yesterday demanding the suspects be denied bail.
Shouts of 'bring them out' and 'we want to see them' could be heard from the crowd.

The matter was postponed until September 28 after the men abandoned their bail application.

They face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The area's councillor, Siboniso Ndwandwe says the community is angry and shocked by the murders.
