KZN boy (12) dies after falling from 12th floor of flat

A 12-year-old boy has suffered fatal injuries after he fell from the twelfth floor at a block of flats in Morningside in Durban.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says when paramedics arrived on the scene this morning, they found the boy lying in a garden.
Meiring says the child was declared dead at the scene
"We assessed the child and find that he sustained numerous injuries and his vital signs were quickly diminishing."

CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to revive the patient.
"Unfortunately, after some time, no vital signs returned, and he was declared dead," says Meiring.
The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
