KZN authorities vow to intensify lockdown operations
As we enter the second full week of lockdown - authorities are vowing to intensify their operations to stop defiant traders who are breaking lockdown laws.
On Sunday, the KZN Economic Development Department shut down a Dundee liquor store which was continuing to operate despite the nationwide ban on the sale of alcohol.
Officials say the owner denied he was selling liquor - despite CCTV footage evidence.

He's been arrested and his entire stock confiscated.
Departmental spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya says members of the public have been their eyes and ears on the ground.
"The MEC is still receiving complaints and reports from members of the public and consumers. They are retail shops and other shops that are disregarding the regulations.
"We will continue to clamp down on those who are breaking the law. The MEC has insisted that everybody must observe the regulations because it is aimed at ensuring our safety and health," he said.
