IFP spokesperson Blessed Gwala's been speaking to Newswatch after the ANC Youth League in KZN opened a case of corruption in Nongoma this morning.

"We'll meet them in court - because we don't know about that thing that they're talking about. That person whom has views is not an official of the party," he said.

The league says senior leaders abused their power by instructing the Mayor of Pongola, to use municipal money to fund the IFP's campaign for the upcoming bi-elections there.

ANC Youth league provincial secretary, Thanduxolo Sabelo, however, says the allegations hold some truth.

"We are in possession of a letter written by the coordinator of the IFP who is instructing the Mayor to use municipal funds to buy material that they are campaigning with in uPongola," he said.
