KZN ANC elective conference set for April: Zikalala
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
KZN ANC interim structure co-ordinator, Sihle Zikalala says a fresh provincial elective conference will be held before the end of April.
The initial conference - held just over two years ago - was declared unlawful by the Pietermaritzburg High Court after its legitimacy was challenged by a group of ANC members.
The party's NEC decided to suspend the Provincial Elective Committee earlier this month.
Speaking at the ANC Youth League's January 8 rally in Pietemaritzburg yesterday, Zikalala said he is confident those who were in the PEC will soon be able to pick up where they left off.
"There is a provincial interim committee which is mandated with the primary task of convening before a provincial conference before the end of April 2018," he says.
