Provincial Secretary, Mdumiseni Ntuli was speaking at a briefing in Durban earlier, on the outcomes of the PEC's monthly ordinary meeting on COVID-19.
Ntuli says he's seen some disturbing scenes, particularly in some parts of eThekwini.
"In Isipingo and in some areas of KwaMashu and in Inanda, we have seen some disturbing scenes from our people, completely acting in a manner that [is not line] with the disaster regulations, we are very concerned about that."
"We have agreed as a PEC that we will continue to play our part, where possible, and loud hail to convince our people to stay at home."

He says law enforcement must deal decisively with those who break the law.
"The PEC calls on the law enforcement agencies to strengthen its hand and presence to ensure law and order and nobody undermines State organs with impunity."
"The war against COVID-19 is complex and challenging, which imposes the duty on the leadership of the national liberation movement to constantly and constantly provide reasonable leadership."
