KZN agricultural project to improve food security
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Officials hope a recently launched agricultural project in the Shobashobane area, near Port Shepstone on the south coast will help uplift the poverty stricken community.
President Jacob Zuma officially launched the project yesterday.
The initiative is a brain child of his foundation in partnership with other government departments.
The Presidency's Bongani Majola says the project, which is already up and running, is geared towards providing food security for the community.
"The Jacob Zuma Foundation is very proud to partner with some of the provincial government departments to make this project possible.
"So, we're going to be seeing some of the fruits of the work that has been done by the foundation as well as the government's agricultural department," her said.
