KwaMashu police appeal for information in fatal hijacking

Durban police are appealing for help in tracking down the car thieves who shot and killed a man during a hijacking in KwaMashu.
Police say a group of eight men hijacked a car last night - killing the driver, and seriously injuring another occupant.
The 20-year-old victim died at the scene, while his 31-year-old passenger remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The police's Thulani Zwane says the suspects fled the scene in the stolen car.
"KwaMashu police have opened a case of murder, attempted murder, as well as hijacking. The hijacked vehicle was found abandoned on the same day. Up till now, there's no arrests made. All the suspects fled the scene, and they're still at large," he said.
